Today we had the “asbuilt” done on our duplex. There aren’t any original building plans for the property because it was built in 1952 which is two years before there were any plans recorded with the city. The fee for the plans and everything that comes with it is $6,000. We’re still waiting on the surveyor to finish what they need to finish.

I met the architect and her husband at the property. One side of the property is kept “ok” on the outside and clean on the inside. The other side is a different story. I found out they had unauthorized guinea pigs as pets in the unit many months ago. Because the inside of the unit was deplorable and there is a rodent property in the area, I was mad and demanded they get rid of them. Fast forward to today…I first go to the backyard where I see a bucket full of dog poop and dog poop all over the turf. Anger sets in. The kicker is they had a fly trap hanging. Get rid of f&&^%^%( poop! Then, I smell them before I see them. The guinea pigs are still there! The excuse was the tenant’s sister adopted them when I demanded they get rid of them and that they are watching them for a few days. I told them the guinea pigs are to be gone by next Saturday or they will be asked to leave.
