I have not written in a week because my wife and I attended Overland Expo in Colorado. It’s an outdoor convention for a specific type of camper called an overlander. It was fun.

I have been trying to get the process going with loan. I have been provided a link which is supposed to display links for a few PDF documents. It did show a link for the application, so I clicked it, filled out the application, and submitted it. Apparently, there is another document called an ITOP (intent to proceed) that I missed. I don’t think I missed it; It was never displayed. Anyways, I’m still trying to get that signed.

The surveyor emailed me saying they “have installed the monuments!” at the duplex. Great now what? A simple estimated timeline would be nice.

The tenants with the guinea pigs did not inform me that they vacated the property. No $1,000 incentive to move quickly for them.

I continued reading the commercial real estate textbook. It’s a real page-turner (sarcasm). I also continued reading “Confessions of a Real Estate Entrepreneur” which is definitely more interesting.

Update: the lender figured out that the ITOP is not required for the type of loan I am applying for. That is why I did not see it with the link given. The lender called and apologized and Jim and I had a laugh about it. The documents have been submitted to the the underwriter. Because of the holiday weekend, the earliest approval will be on Tuesday. Progress!
