No news on the survey front, but I wasn’t expecting anything until this week. Fingers crossed the county finishes its review.
We contracted with a landscaper to put low-water plants and bark at our duplex. We just recently had the yard scraped but we needed to get it landscaped soon because we just got some rain. The weeds will soon follow. It’s going to cost around $2,300 for the job which includes a drip system that will be run once-a-week for ten minutes. Not too bad. It’ll be nice to have the yard looking good.
The tenants at one unit at our triplex (primary residence) vacated yesterday. They were awesome tenants and we will miss them. The good thing is that we’ll be able to charge more rent. I am wondering if this is a slow time of year or if we are asking too much. I think its slow. Also, as the years go by in my career as a landlord, I have realized that people just don’t give a damn to show up to viewing appointments. Oh well.
We need to fix a broken tile and paint and that should be it. It will be nice to get it rented so I can then increase the rent on the section 8 unit.
