The tenants at the duplex moved out and left the place spotless. I think they put purposefully put vacuum lines in the carpet. The place looked great! I’m happy about that. I listed the unit on Saturday, showed it on Sunday, and had a deposit and signed lease by Sunday night. This morning I woke up to a text from the new tenant saying he had a family emergency and is going to have to leave the city. Yeah, right. Before I gave it any thought, I refunded the deposit. I should have deducted the cost of the Zillow listing fee. Oh well.
