As a landlord, there’s nothing quite as exciting as welcoming a new tenant into your property. This weekend, I’ll be doing just that as we prepare to welcome a new resident to one of our units. However, before our new tenant can move in, there are a few things that need to be taken care of.

First on the list is changing the locks. While we trust our previous tenants, it’s always better to err on the side of caution and ensure that the new resident is the only one with access to the property. This is a simple but important task that we always prioritize when welcoming a new tenant.

Another task that needed to be taken care of before our new tenant can move in is the removal of old electrical panels. These panels were in the way of the new tankless water heaters we installed to upgrade the property. While this was a bit of a hassle, we know that these upgrades will pay off in the long run and provide our tenants with a better living experience.

Speaking of upgrades, we’re also excited to announce a 16.55% increase in rent for this unit. While we understand that this may be a little steep for some tenants, we believe that the upgrades we’ve made to the property are well worth it. We’re confident that our new tenant will appreciate the value that they’re getting for their money.

Of course, there’s still some bureaucratic red tape to cut through before we can fully move forward with this project. We’re still waiting for the city to review our building plans, which can be a frustratingly slow process. However, we’re doing everything we can to stay on top of it and ensure that everything is up to code and ready to go.

All in all, I’m feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety as we prepare to welcome our new tenant and kick off this project. It’s the catalyst for other improvements we have planned for the property, and it’s also a step towards financial freedom for me. I’m looking forward to seeing how everything turns out!
