I am over this construction project. An honest, hard-working, high-quality general contractor must be worth his or her weight in gold. Ours is an idiot. Quality assurance is non-existent. He doesn’t check the quality of the work his sub-contractors complete. The dummy took a plug out of a cleanout in order to plug another for testing. Well, he failed to get another plug to replace the borrowed one, and when the plumber tested the kitchen sink, water everywhere. The latest blunder came with the HERS report. Apparently, all the mini-splits in one of the units are “illegal”. Now, we’re waiting to get new ones installed. The construction portion of this project has been going for over a year now. We are two and a half years into the project. I just want it to be complete.
